Alright, I screwed up some lovely wires on the main wiring harness, figured instead of trying to repair I'd just replace the harness since I was having a hard time getting to the wires..

Anywho to make the long story short, I can't get the harness to pull through the firewall, the grommet won't frickin move, anyone have a suggestion for someway to get the dang thing to budge? I can't get it to pull either way

They are in there pretty tight. Get a buddy to push from the engine bay and you pull from inside. Might have to take a flat screwdriver blade and carefully unseat the plug from the firewall. It is a tight fit in there, be patient and give it time, you will eventually will get it through there. I have done this several times and getting ready to do it again. :)

since I was replacing it, I decided to cut it just to pull the dash to get that damn thing out. I'll give pulling the harness through another shot soon but it's frickin cold currently, and car is outside as when I started this project it happened to be a warm day.

When you go to put the new harness in get some wiring pulling **** (the clear kind) from home depot and coat the big grommet. You can used dish washing soap in a pinch too. You should also wrap up the engine side of the harness with cling wrap so the connectors won't get caught on the opening or other things under the hood. Something else they do at car factories when they are pulling harnesses is heat up the harness to about 200°F to make them really flexible.

get a little screwdriver and poke around the edges and make sure its all free. Sometimes it sticks with dirt and crap and will get a pretty good hold on it. after that if u get a little bit larger flat head, work the grommett thru with it and work your way around until it pops inside there... would help to have someone tugging on it while u do that maybe...

in my experience, that grommet will not move on the wiring harness, you need to remove the grommet from the firewall and move it with the harness as you pull the harness out. it will be a real pita to get the grommet out of the firewall if its cold, since its a tight fit and stiff even when its 70+F outside.

I meant taking the grommet and all out... I've done it on a grand am several times

Maybe I should pull it in the garage and get the fire roasting hot then, thanks that's probably the best advice yet cause I had already tried all the other crap

but all comments were definitely appreciated!
