Last night the stock fuel pump on the 92 crapped the bed and I had an old fuel pump from my 93 stock that was on the shelf when I upgraded to a 190. I have pulled the fuel pump out of the 92 but it looks a bit shorter than the 93s. I will have pics here in a second, but if any of you know for certain if that 93 stocker will work, please respond... :thumb:

Here are the 2 pumps side by side...the longer of the 2 is the 93s pump..

Okay I guess I need to back up a bit....

Yesterday I was rounding a curve and the car just died. I immediately suspected CPS failure and since I have a front main seal leak and listened for the fuel pump to prime upon restart. I didn't hear it prime, and towed it home to get ready for the fuel pump swap.

When I crank the car over, the tach jumps up to 600 RPM while cranking, and if I remember correctly when the cps fails you have no tach reading while cranking, no?

Could it be simply a fuse or something because I have changed to a one month old fuel pump and fuel filter and STILL cannot hear the pump prime. This is quite a mystery for even me a SHO owner of 5 years who thought they had seen it all......

Don't I feel stupid! It was the fuel safety cutoff switch in the trunk! When I went around the corner and it must have triggered it! What a waste of time! Oh well....... :madflame: :bonk: :smash:
