This is on my '91, got it recently, the PO said it had an intermittent stalling problem and sometimes would not start (didn't matter if the car had cooled down for a week it just wouldn't start sometimes) anyways, I got the car and it has been doing just fine, I never got a chance to see the problem, until today, it wouldn't start this morning, wouldn't start this afternoon..

..tonight I pulled the codes, came to CEL 14 " PIP circuit failure. Suspect PIP sensor or TFI module, or grounding or interference problems at the TFI module."

That certainly sounds like a crank sensor problem, the PO spoke of it, but confused it with the cam sensor "yeah the water pump is right above the cam sensor so sometimes when it leaks it can short it out so I had the shop change it" So I'm not sure if they changed the CID or the CPS. Any ideas? I was going to start it and drive into the driveway and start tearing it apart but then it wouldn't start

NA1 CONTINUOUS MEMORY CODE 14/211: ERRATIC IGNITION

Code 14/211 indicates two successive erratic Profile Ignition Pickup (PIP) pulses occurred, resulting in a possible engine miss or stall.

Possible causes:

-- Loose wires/connectors.

-- Arcing secondary ignition components (coil, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, etc.).

-- On-board transmitter (2-way radio).*
