So I have this '90 SHO. The other day I got down on it and went through the gears. I didn't exceed 6300 rpms. but when I was in third or fourth, the car started bucking; and the rpms. began jumping from 1000-2500 rpms. So I pulled onto a side road, and shut that bitch off; When I started it back up everything was fine, but I haven't gotten the rpms. back up to see if it happens again.

Codes as of last night: (in order)
KOEO
22
22 (rep.)
pause........
11
9?
11
9?

KOER

41
91
77
(repeat)

CYL. BAL. TEST
9 (sys. ok)
9 (rep.)

I've looked the codes up online, but I don't know what to think...

When my car started bucking, it turned out to be the cam position sensor. I don't see that code on your list though

Do you know how long its been since the codes were cleared? I would reset the codes and see if you can replicate the problem.

I agree that cam sensor is a good guess (because of how the tach jumped around) but there does not appear to be a code in the Gen 1 (2-digit) list for a sick cam sensor, so its just a guess. I think I would put on a new cam sensor since they are not expensive, nor difficult to change.

Ok, I'm going to clear the codes, put a cam sensor in it, and try to replicate it the bucking bronco.
Then I will report back.

There are good write ups on that. Going through the hole in the wheel well with extensions really helps
