Just purchased a 89 sho and the radio would power up but when you hit the scan button it would not find any radio stations at all am or fm. So put a factory 89 radio in it and the radio stations are cutting in and out like a cd skip and now the speakers on the left side of the car are the only ones that will work. And when it acts like its skipping it will do it for like five minutes then go silent like someone shut the radio off, but if you shut it off for a bit then turn it back on it will start the skipping thing again.

Any help appreciated

Thanks

Mike

Could be the amp or the deck itself. my 89 had an aftermarket radio in it when I got it, but the owner had kept the factory deck. I tried swapping it in the tuner side wouldn't work, just static, but it would play tapes. I have heard those decks are particularly trouble prone. I understand where your coming from I like things original too like that.

Do you have the jbl or just the premium sound?
