trace that wiring back to the pcm - somewhere there is a bad connection or a cut wire causing an open circuit because it thinks the spout jumper is not there.

during some DIS faults, the failure mode effects management (FMEM) prorttion of the DIS ignition module will maintain behicle operation. If the DIS igniton module does not receive the spout input, it will automatically turn the ignition coils on and off using the PIP signal. However, this will reult in fixed spark timing (10 degrees BTDC) and fixed dwell time (no CCD).

What is (FMEM) and (CCD)

I tryed two driffrent DIS modules and one even from a diffrent car that has no codes. There was no change. I have not traced the wire yet but I will soon.

ccd is timing adjusted by computer to optimal - its saying in the described situation, the timing will be fixed at 10*, which is good for passing emissions tests, but bad for producing decent power.

fmem is failure mode effects management - its saying that under certain failures, the dis will still be able to cause the engine to run, just not run properly. its like a limp home mode.
