I have a 90 with titanium that was painted over by Dupont Chrome by the PO. Every time a piece of that dupont chrome peels off I see a pretty titanium piece... i'm starting to think they didn't even sand or prep before they painted... TEMPTED to try and remove the chrome top coat and get back to my stock color but i'm sure there's alot of jacked up places. I wish I knew more about the car.

DuPont Chromabase is not a cheap paint to purchase and apply. I would think the paint guys would have prepped accordingly. Does the old paint that you can see look like they at least sanded the gloss off for a better bite?

no, from what i can see the stock paint looks really pretty under neath. There are runs in the paint too, it looks like somebody did it in their garage.

Well, that just make it more work for the next guy who wants to paint it. My clear coat is peeling on the roof, hood and trunk. I guess we both have alot of sanding a head of us.
