Ok I searched May be I missed it I'm Sorry to do a 're-post' if I did please Forgive me.

To the point, My wife wrecked her 89 Two weeks a go and i was able to get some left doors the other day I've already installed them but the drivers door has the key less pad on the door I think I can get the module, are the 89's harness's pre-wired and this is an extra at the factory, or would I need to run the wires to make this option work.
my wife THE BOSS would like it if it's not to hard. there is an empty pig tail in the trunk where approximately where my 90 SHO had one but I sold it 3 years ago so I have no references.

Also my in side door lock button (both sides) has quit working are they related?

The harnesses were not all built with the wiring. You'll have to add it. That said, it's possible, but it ain't gonna be easy.

All the connection to and from the module will have to be added. Then the module will have to be integrated into the harness and all the connecting circuits added.

Like I said, it's possible, it just ain't gonna be easy.

Thanks,
I didn't think so, I can weld it in. But you know I have to try and please My wife
I guess the key thob button will have to do.

My other question is will the door key(number) pad interfere with the power door lock buttons on the inside door panels, they worked on the old door,I think?
also my entry lamps aren't working either. (flip the handle lights come on in side and key hole lights up. I think that what it's called.)
Would these be routed through the key pad or should I take the harness out of the other door.
the windows work and so do the mirrors, all fuses are good also. I'm a little perplexed at this.

I have a Ford shop manual and ford Vacuum diagram, wiring diagram trouble shooting book but shoud I trust it on an 89?
Thanks

You might have an easier time if you went to a yard and found a SLO with the keypad and pulled all the wiring from the door to the trunk. There is an extra bundle of wires that goes from the door (in door wiring) to the connector and then splits off from the 'normal' wiring to run to the trunk. This is the wiring that joins up with the internal courtesy lights and such. You CAN install it after the door, but will need to do about 30-40 splices down under the parking brake area.. not fun, I was contemplating this project, got all the parts (door, internal wiring, trunk control box) and then realized in 89 they have no FOB or transmitter, so I bagged it. I decided if I wanted it, I'd go get a car alarm and do it that way.
As to the books, they made a lot of changes from 89 to 90, so be careful.

Thanks I was aware of a lot of tree huger ad-on's in 1990 model, but is per the harness' on the 89 I wasn't sure if the basic harness had just plug in circuits or if these were complete wire runs. some model fords. ie trucks have a lot of 'plug n play' harness. I guess it's whats on the shelf during assembly. thanks.
As to the power door locks would the key pad interfere with the door locks???
funny thing the passenger door light works and so does the courtesy interior light when you flip the handle but not the drivers door now neither power lock works
can you say what the @#*&.
Thanks again for your feed back
