Thank you... I hope any '95 specific parts are never ever produced....

yeah, like knuckles from a 95 that will fit on your car, right?... :nut:

There you go Todd!!!!!

Maybe SHObros should hire you for your awsome marketing ideas.

Your .05 isn't worth .02!!!

:laugh_ti:

I was expressing my OPINION... its mine, not yours take it or leave it... i dont see a point in making gauges that are only compatable for one car. its a great gesture of SHOBros to do such a thing... you guys are lucky that he's nice like that, if it were me, i would see no point in making them for such a hard-to-find car (nowadays, anyway)...

the white-faces themselves look pretty good, thumbs up to shobros for a good design, too bad that black rectangle cannot be avoided...

I think you missed the point of the whole post... Off the top of my head, I can't think of anything that is model specific to the '95 SHO, but, how would you feel if a part for your car was simply not produced because it was different than other SHO model years? Bah.. '95 MTXs are probably the rarest SHO, so we shouldn't do anything for 'em.

This is a SHO community. We're going to leave out one model year for aftermarket stuff just because it's different? Us '89 owners have NEVER had an option other than the instrument panel that probably needs a makeover more than any other year. I don't see the manufacturing of these gauges so much as a "gesture," but more as a wise business move. '89 owners have been begging for something like this for years, and I'm sure these will sale like hotcakes.

I wonder how some LEDs would look in there :)

And dantheman... quit hating!!!!!!!!!!! :slap:

That is right I was thinking. Maybe replace the bulbs with jumbo white LEDs. I dont like the front lights so maybe rear LED's would be bright enough to go without the fronts. ANYTHING is better than that stock 89 dash. I feel like robocop...the futre of the 80's :nut:

You are correct, and i agree with you on this point. Im just saying that its kind of strange that 18 years after the cars have been produced there are finally people making white face gauges... and i really don't understand it seeing to as there are so few out there, but thats beside the point, after all im not the one making them.

That being said, the gauges look great, and im glad there is an aftermarket source for our cars still.

Im also happy that everyone who owns an 89 can now dress up their dashboard a bit.

sorry Loudsho92, i dont mean to spam up, i just want to make sure that there are no hard feelings, or as few possible, the gauges look great, and you guys are great to the community.

Ive seen this before.

A LONG time ago I ventured into producing such gauges for the '89 SHO owners....

Pretty upsetting to see such interest, long after my efforts went un-noticed. And quite funny to see such a similarity between my designs and the ones in this thread. Even funnier to see that they are simply overlays, with the same lovely shoddy lighting that I encountered due to the design of the gage cluster itself.

My original threads on SHOforum have since been lost due to numerous site updates and revamps, but a few on another forum still exist...

****, I even started the only SpeedHut group buy for real, honest to goodness reverse glow gauges (not overlays). And more 3 years later.... just ONE pre-purchase.

This post might be a hair out of line, but I had to speak my piece.

I'd definitely be interested in some different gauges for my '89.

Dantheman, they made a lot of '89s. According to SHOtimes, they made over 15,000 of them, about 31% of all the MTXs. About 18% of all V6 SHOs.

I like the one's you showed, but I'd love to take a crack at the appearance of the gauges. Is there a way I could submit my own designs to SHO Bros? Maybe after getting a template file. I use Photoshop regularly.

From what I remember, the way the cluster is lit from the front is two clear bulbs that shine through green plastic lenses to project onto the gauge faces. I experimented with my own purple lenses (they were actually blue and red plastic overlaid, which didn't let a whole lot of light through). They mostly just colored the needles, as the green still showed through on the numbers from the back. These gauges would allow a much greater flexibility in color choice. I've been trying to establish purple details around my black car, with not a lot of success so far.

I will see what can be done Geek SHO, if you want make up what you want and send it too me and we can go from there.

I will see what I can do about the logos. The idiot lights will be black.

I remember what you did Kenny but we didn't copy you, the guy doing them has never seen your gauges. I think I told you about Speedhut. It would of been great to see them made.
