Ok I have searched several threads and no luck. I am really sure I saw someone mention that 89 front caliper/rotors would fit on the rear. Is this true? How much bigger are the front rotors vs the rear on an 89? It time to start putting my 89 back together and the rear calipers stick.... I know the rear calipers are not cheap but I do have a second set to swap them with. If I CAN put the bigger front set up on the rear that would be cool.

Thanks

For the model year 89 (and only 89) the front and rear rotors are identical. The calipers are different front to rear, totally different.
The rear calipers and caliper brackets are the same 89 thru 92. The mounting plate for 89 is different, it only works on (refering to stock stuff) the 89 spindle.

ok so if the rotors are identical on both ends then they are the same size/diameter? There would be zero benefit from trying to put front rotor setup on the rear. I know the rear calipers have that parking brake setup and that in its self would make them different from the front ones.

thank you for giving me some idea. I was starting to think I was high or something
