I've decided to fix, rather than part my '91. The replacement motor is an '89. Will there be any fitment issues? How about with the engine itself?

The only issure that you might run into is if the 9 1/4" (vs the 9 3/4" installed starting mid year on the '90s) clutch have never been changed out on the '89. The smaller clutch did not last very long and they were recalled in '90, so the chances of the 9 1/4" clutch being there are slim. Other than that both engines should be the same.

should be the same unless the original owner forgot to bring it in the the recall for the bigger flywheel. if i was you i'd go to SPMotorsports and order yourself a 8lb Fidenze flywheel though. stock is 21lb monsterous that light one give u a nice faster reving SHO and 3 more hp too.
