Thank you and also thank you for pioneering this upgrade. I was surprised they didn’t know that they previously made 2, at first, I even shared pics of yours to refresh their memory. But finally I was able to get one too! And I didn’t know they were keeping track, it was cool to see I was 3rd when I didn’t know I’d be compared to others……now that I know I’ll be gunning for 1st. And I’ll rent a faster car. The McLaren handled like a dream but I’ll admit it didn’t really impress me with its acceleration. Even though it has a top speed of 204mph….its not super quick. But it was bad ass anyway!View attachment 89697

My friend has a McLaren, it's a great fn car.

I’m a little late pulling the trans out but it’s happening this weekend! TBH it looked like a bomb of parts went off in my garage over the past few months. Took longer than I expected to clean things up and organize. I didn’t want to pull it apart in messy work area….i think if it more like a small shop now instead of a garage. Kevin is out of town until late Sunday night. Dropping the trans off to him Monday after work. IMG 0678

I'm pretty excited to see this done. Your workbench looks kind of full. I can hold on to that stuff if you want. LOL

Getting closer. Not that it’s necessary but pulling the fenders and hood definitely makes avoiding a scratch to the paint 100% achievable. IMG 0689IMG 0688
The brackets up front are from the leftover angle iron from the garage door opener I took out lol! Makes a sturdy chassis splitter bracket

Translucent purple is the name of the powder coat.
I been wondering why more people don't paint their intake and valve covers like with so many other platforms,it really transforms the look of an otherwise mundane looking engine bay(In comparision to many of Fords other engines)

Transmission is now with Kevin. Next steps are to install as much as I can on the engine and take the opportunity to paint some body and chassis stuff. I have a couple cases of degreaser wipes and some Rostoleum Farm and Implement Weather Heavy Duty paint.IMG 0721

Gave my valve covers a little buff/polish/Adams Graphene ceramic coat. Xtreme-DI 2000cc injectors and XDI60 HPFP installed. Actually had to buy a new HPFP base plate and gasket as I couldn’t find mine. Went back to OEM old trusty ignition coils….just bc I wanted black to go with purple. Translucent purple looking more blue or purple depending on lighting IMG 0964IMG 0962IMG 0963IMG 0961IMG 0959
Knock sensors looked great reused those. Camshaft sensors, crankshaft sensor and oil pressure sensor are all new. IMG 0905IMG 0903IMG 0904

Gave the coolant pipe a quick paint job with 1000 degree high temp BBQ grill satin black paint. -4AN oil feed and -10 AN oil return fittings installed IMG 0788IMG 0787IMG 0785
New to the build is ProMeth Volute Injection. Turbo oil return sump tank. Turbowerx high temp scavenger pump/inline 100micron filter. Pics coming soon! Items sent to Powder Coat:

Gloss White: strut tower bar, top trans mount, turbo compressor covers

Gloss Black: turbo brackets, intake brackets, front crash bar

Stay tuned for more!
