Chassis splitter done for now. This was challenging considering my exhaust piping to the turbos comes down into the splash guard area. I really wanted something more functional than just a splitter look, but I didn’t want something so rigid and strong it would take out my bumper with it so I bought 1/2” birch plywood. After a lot of research quite a few ppl go with wood for 2 reasons, it’s cheap and relatively light (My splitter weighs 9lbs without the brackets) and if you catch an edge, it’ll likely break off a chunk of wood, causing less damage to the front bumper and less chance of dragging a sharp piece of material, wouldn’t be good if you punctured a tire with a sharp piece of aluminum that got damaged. With wood it’s also cheaper to replace.
I bought a 4x8 sheet. And this thing is massive, I could only get 1 splitter out of a 4x8’ sheet! But before that I made a template out of hardwood wall panel.
I used my first splitter as my template for the general shape but made it come as far back as the rear of the front bumper. Using a general guideline of 3-4” in front of the bumper and as wide as the tires.
I had to go around the piping and work with the available space I had. I then transferred this design onto the birch.
I use a jigsaw to cut it out. An orbital sander with 120 grit to sand the edges. @aaron240 had made a splitter for his Fiesta and later got rid of it, but he had some hardware laying around that I bought off him for a major discount. Professional Awesome carbon fiber rods, premium quick disconnect hardware, titanium pucks for the bottom and quick disconnect splitter hardware for a Honda S2000 that I heavily modified bc of not being able to attach to the crash bar.
I’m glad I got a lift for the garage bc it made it easier to finish this and get it straight and level. Also sometimes it’s a good thing to not completely finish a project bc I later decided to add more style to it instead of just a round splitter. The project sat and went through some different phases.
At this point I was almost ready to wrap it but being a bit weary of hitting my splitter before and breaking my chin spoiler in half when it wasn’t sticking out this far before made me trim a little more off and make the center design more ….center lol! I’m pretty much done with it for now, I wrapped it in a cool Carbon Fiber vinyl from Vivvid Vinyl. I’ll add edge protection for the simple fact that if I were to leave it exposed and scrap or crack a piece off the front I literally would trash the whole thing and have to redo it. I don’t want it looking raggedy. So edge protection will make it survive some scrapes before anything like that happens. Here it is.
Now to make a template of my final version for a spare hahaha! Just in case. And yes I can stand on it.

I'm still waiting to hear when I should show up to turn the key...
I plan on pulling the engine and transmission out shortly. To drop off the transmission to Kevin and start installing the coolant pipes, sensors, injectors,etc on the motor while it’s getting built. It has to be ready before spring

Not much done bc I’ve been slammed busy with work. Some off topic stuff and on topic stuff. Off Topic I forced a 4 day vacation to Vegas, hitting UFC at the Apex Feb 3rd 
Got to experience the Sphere
We saw Post Card Earth. Didn’t mess around much with gambling but I hit up SpeedVegas twice! 1st time as a passenger in their Hellcat highway patrol drift car
Then I rented and drove their McLaren 570s GT4 on their circuit track for 6 laps, placing 3rd for fastest lap
Surprisingly we didn’t hit the strip….guess we’ll need to go back! Bought a 2022 Tundra and hoping to do some 1sts with its 3.4 V6 twin turbo 10 speed auto! It’s kind of like our SHO but with a truck bed and better trans! 389 hp and 479 tq stock! Been cutting away at it to fit larger wheels
Just a RC 1.75” leveling kit and front window tint to start. I have a feeling I’m going to be one of the 1st to really push this platform…on the road….not off-road! Love the color it’s called Lunar Rock!
So now that I’m about done with the truck for now and got some breathing room now that I’ve got slightly caught up with work I just told Kevin I’m going to be dropping off the trans no later than the weekend of the the 23rd! He’s ready for it, I had Ben weld the planetary gear sets, something the Diesel guys do! And finally got this in after 2 months of clarifying and waiting

Nice time cutting on the track and placing 3rd. How fun was that!?!?!
Oh boy, and another project being undertaken with the Tundra! Even more fun to be had!
Finally, it is nice to see another fellow SHO owner having taken advantage of the racing flexplate from Reactor Products!
We did recently find out on mine that the mounting holes were ever so slightly off. Never one to fret, though, a quick call over to Olan (the company owner) who authorized the necessary modifications to be performed by the current builder.
Olan stated it is not uncommon when mfg'ers order items in bulk (or in this case, "lots" of 'x' quantity) that when the next order is placed for the same item (say the next 10k units worth there of) it is inevitable that there are, or will be slightly variances.
So Andrew, just be mindful of this when bolting your TC, to the FP, and then to the trans.
Otherwise, it's always great to read of updates on your out of this world build.

Thank you and also thank you for pioneering this upgrade. I was surprised they didn’t know that they previously made 2, at first, I even shared pics of yours to refresh their memory. But finally I was able to get one too! And I didn’t know they were keeping track, it was cool to see I was 3rd when I didn’t know I’d be compared to others……now that I know I’ll be gunning for 1st. And I’ll rent a faster car. The McLaren handled like a dream but I’ll admit it didn’t really impress me with its acceleration. Even though it has a top speed of 204mph….its not super quick. But it was bad ass anyway!
It is a cool colorlove that blazing copper metallic copper color on the flexplate would go well with the Edge
