Newest members from VSC performing work on my SHO. IMG 8867Kevin Quinlan Drivetrain specialist to be tearing down, washed in hot wash and rebuilding my trans with new seals and molded pistons, installing my new valve body/solenoid assembly and Helix AutoSport prototype clutches, plus anything else he sees and doesn’t like. He’s done a lot of our sister trans builds the GM 6T70 and a few 6F55 already. Highly recommended by Ben as the go to wizard for anything transmission related.

And Seth Alarie who paint matched my fender flares and repainted my OEM spoiler. IMG 8868

Slowly becoming a solid Team. With the Ashline brothers doing fab and composites, the future looks bright for my build.

The excitement and enthusiasm surrounding your build has become nothing short of infectious.

Except no masks or repetitive vaccine shots will ever be needed. On the contrary, though, we ALL will need meds to slow our heartbeats down from watching this beast of build near the finish line.

The finish line BOTH in completion, as well as whipping past the actual finish line of any given track.

Stellar reading. As always.

What, you didn't upgrade the rear spoiler? LOL

When do you anticipate this hitting the track? I'm ready to see someone get into the 10s or faster.
Man it doesn’t give me too much time now that I might see the clutches in September. I think it could do a 10 without being completely dialed in so I’m excited to find that out and finally feel like this phase is coming to a close. But at the same time if something isn’t quite right there’s not much sense in forcing it bc that has a potential to be devastating.

I’ve kind of reserved my excitement to be a little more realistic and at the minimum, just easier that way so I don’t get too disappointed. But there’s a slim chance it could see the track before the end of October when my track closes. At a bare minimum I’ll be happy start it and drive it around. And look to punish 2024 with it

You're absolutely right. It would be a shame to hurry it up now and have some unforeseen problem ruin it all. We all look forward to seeing you punish it when it's ready.

I just want what all sleeper parents want - to show others this family car - boat - or other descriptions used can kick some seriously ass.

Next mod for the car is a Voodoo13 Hydraulic EBrake for unparalleled brake boost launching and of course, to slide a corner or two. Imagine my SHO all of a sudden kicked out sideways and drifting a corner…IMG 9098
Wilwood master cylinder and reservoir. Completely divorced from the current brake system. Threw it together real quick for a visual. It’s got a bunch of adjustments it can do. IMG 9100IMG 9099IMG 9106IMG 9104IMG 9102IMG 9107
So what am I going to hook it up to? I’m still waiting for my Rotora Big Brake kit, it really should be here within a week or two, but I reached out to Rotora and I bought (2) 2 piston forged calipers to match my Big Brake kit! So that’s 15” 2 piece air foil rotors all the way around, 6 piston forged calipers up front, 4 piston forged calipers in the rear and now added to the rear another 2 piston forged caliper for the hydraulic e brake. I lined my ducks up in order, already got the “go ahead” from Ben, he’s ready to weld a custom bracket to my rear knuckles for the new dual rear caliper setup!

Once Ben makes custom brackets for the 2 piston calipers and welds them on, it’ll just be finalizing mounting the base plate, running a braided brake line to the rear, T off to each caliper, bleed the brakes like normal and good to go! OEM has us with 6 pistons total for braking. With the Big Brake kit, dual caliper setup from Rotora I’ll go from 6 pistons OEM to a 24 piston brake system lol! I don’t foresee rolling through my brakes on accident while brake boosting to even be possible at this point. Taking “launch control” to a different level, no electronics, manual override! Ha!

The 2 piston forged calipers were offered at the same 40% discount and still cost just under $1,000. Voodoo E Brake was just under $500. After I buy lines and pay Ben for fabrication I’ll likely be a little over $2,000 for this dual caliper hydraulic e brake endeavor. But I couldn’t resist.

I swear to God man, where do you come up with these ideas? This SHO needs to be in a magazine. Anyone know somebody to write it up and submit it somewhere? Awesome shit there for sure.
I don't know anyone in car enthusiast e-zines - however in his homage to Hoonigan - maybe we should contact them?

I posted pics of the livery on one of their FB pages. Everyone seemed to really like it. IMG 9109

Once the car is done and proves to perform to the level of hype its got, I’d be honored to have it featured somewhere, even if all that is is a car show where a lot of us could meet, like Ford Nationals 2024. There’s a drag strip day that week isn’t there? It would be really cool to run it down the track at an event like that, with nothing but DieHard Ford fans cheering it on!
