The three that come to mind with ease are, and in no particular order:

Chris Davey at BittersweetSHO.com

Kirk Doucette at nesho.com

Fred Hurder at ness.com

There may be more, but these three I am familiar with, and obviously have no problem recommending.

Good luck, and, see you at the breakfast! :thumb:

Which tools, specifically?

SHObill offers a set for the lashcaps for purchase, Dr. Tweak rents the tools along with shims. Again, I'm sure there are others amongst us here.

Of course it just my perspective, but unless you plan on providing 60/120k service for others in the future why not contract one of the local experienced guys to do the job for you?

well it will probally be cheaper if i rent or buy the tools and do it myself. i can't see spending $65 a hr plus parts and drive quite a way to get to any of the locations. buy hey if a local guy can do it for a reasonable price i would consider it. but i have had bad experiences with other people working on my car. so with that said i feel comfortable doing my own work. i went to schoolfor automotive tech so i do know my way around cars. besides those valve cover bolts are stripped out so i'll need to take care of that soon.

Search the forum, The tools are listed for $20 each I believe.. Or rent them from someone..

The shims are going to be the hardest part..

THAT, Sir, is BS. If you're putting your car first - over seeing old friends and making new ones, then we don't want you there!

I believe you should come to this months breakfast and talk to some of the folks about the 60k.

Oh, and bring your crappy car. Maybe it'll make my crappy car look better!
