Well, my SHO has almost hit 100,000k and I would really like to do its first 60k. I have had the car since 83,000k and I have changed many things, but nothing that is involved with the 60k. I have put new plugs and wires in it, and when I did I noticed that there was oil in the plug wells, so I would like to take care of that. About how much am I looking at spending for a complete 60k? and where do I go to get that tools, and things that I need? Any advice would help. Thanks. thumbs_u

Do you want to do the whole thing or just the top? The timing area with aftermarket runs around $150-200 for parts (not including any additional tools you may need) and the top without plugs and wires maybe around $200 if you replace every shim. Many are reusable but some people like to replace all the shims with new. The gasket set is ~$75 so that + any shims $3.50ish per.

Click 'search', type 60K, and all the info regarding costs, options, tools, procedures, etc. will easily be located in the countless previous threads discussing 60K's. Also, http://www.shotimes.com in addition to the forum FAQ's has most of the info you're looking for.

Last, you might want to email Scott P. (sdpatt on the forum) and request his 60K procedures document as well as his list of lowest prices and resources for 60K parts.
