60k in Hampton Roads

My 92 is getting overdue for its 60k. I've looked into a walkthrough of how to do it, but that's something I really wouldn't be comfortable doing myself, especially considering the SHO is still relatively new to me.
Are there any shops familiar with the SHO or anyone else near Hampton Roads that I could pay for the labor if I order and provide the parts?

It's also worth mentioning that while it's never a bad idea to check the valve clearance (shims), 98% of the time they are perfectly fine. Kevin knows his shit, so you he'll point you in the right direction either way.

Yeah, that was me with the silver 92. Sorry to snag it, but I've been enjoying it.

I wanted the full 60k to be safe. The thing was sitting for quite a while before I got it, so I want to replace as much as is practical while everything's apart. I was thinking a new (rebuilt) alternator while all the belts are off too. The one on there now charges, but it's really loud and annoying.

the only alternators that I have found to actually last are the NAPA lifetime warranty ones - all the others seem to have a device that causes them to fail just after the warranty expires...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the place that rebuilt the alternator on my last car a couple years ago. They do good work.

I had a not-so-good experience with Brownings a couple years back. Took them my Lightning alternator, wanted a re-build on it to a higher amperage (can't remember now the amperage) and when I went to pick it up it was built back to the stock amps as they said they couldn't beef it up due to the casing size or something.

They never called to tell me this and then charged me $60 or $80 for it. Had I known I would have said don't bother and just ordered a higher amped one myself. Not to mention it was putting out 11.7-11.9 on the my gauge when I installed it, just like it had before. I won't be going back there.

I can see that happening. When I got my starter rebuilt there a few months ago I noticed the new parts installed were all cheap looking Chinese parts. I do it local because I have had good luck with them so far and I can go back and get it redone if there is an issue.
