can this be built with a different MAF? i'm currently running a 73mm, so i'd need provisions to mount it. thoughts? (and no, i'm not ditching it for a stocker or 80mm...doug lewis performed some magic to make it work)

That MAF clocked as it is will not give the most accurate readings. It puts the sensor in the fastest air flow location.

well i turned it to the top today once i had some free time and the light isnt going away.

i dont understand what could be causing this 157 code. Does anyone know if the pcm pin 1 code will actually cause the light to stay on?

Remove caliper brackets. Reinstall. The pin goes to the top.

Thanks for the tip. Is it really a big deal? i read before i did it that you had to swap brackets and such but everything went on butter smooth so i didnt worry about it.

Gets you a nice intake :)

Ill probably re-do the couplers with some name brand stuff, get the 90* bend in the fender in stainless pipe, and put a k&n on there instead of the crappy pep boys cone.

I was thinking of building a set up like this. So you have a 90* as soon as it goes into the fender? Would this slow the air flow? I would think the optimal would not include a 90*. Idea?

well theres really no way around it. there has to be a bend there unless you use a really small filter.

The only thing im concerned with is getting water inside. a portion of the filter is exposed in the wheel well. my friend had a intake on his mx-6 and the filter was like on the ground. he thought he would have problems as well but never did.

Nice set up. Your brakes are sexy!
This is what I did, very similar, but I used a metal pipe instead of plastic, and I believe it's a different bend angle...

I did mine similer but I think I got the cheap CAI at Advance Auto for 40 or 50 bucks and I used the old tube and cut it to clamp it to. But now all I need is to get is a 90* and put it out the fender. But I did mine cheao as ****

If your bleeder screws are not at the top of the caliper, you will never get a complete bleed, as air bubbles float to... the top of the caliper. That's the only big deal.
