Well Time will tell if it will actually run. He will probably have to do a torque strap or super stiff motor mounts. He is going to have problems with a 95 engine and trans with 99 GEM and other electroincs. Many issues he is going to work out.

The subframe is bolted up and in place completely. good luck to him he will need it.

:salute:

That's pretty sweet. No doubt it will eventually run:) takes long enough to find the pics -first you have to read thru all the skeptics and nay saying, skip to the hails and ****-yeahs, then to the pics. Glad that motor is in a SHO body!

I live in IL as well as does the owner of the car in question. I contacted him to see if I could come down and have a look and take some pictures/measurements, and was summarily blown off. He told me he was too busy, of all things, working on his car. I'm just goin off gut feeling here, but I have the suspicion that he may not be totally on the up-and-up with this. I don't know.

What's to be on the "up and up" about? Do you suspect that he faked the whole swap and plans on selling pictures of the engine installed? :nut:

I personally don't like having strangers come to my house while I'm busy, especially while I'm working on my car. If they are friends, that's fine but if it's crunch time and I need to get things done, I don't like having unknown people milling about thousands of dollars worth of tools and parts while getting in my way.

i like to believe we have some sort of comraderie when doing these things and he has asked for help i understand he is new to the board but you have to expect people to come and want to take a look.

Really if we really wanted to we could go there to the college at which it is at and check it out. I mean your going to make claims and post pics people are going to respond. If i were to do this i would expect people to be asking to come check it out. Of course the fact that it is at a college may be the reason why he doesn't want anybody to come and see it.

At first he made a post stating that he had installed the 4.6 in his SHO and many did not believe him. Then he posted pictures of it and people are getting upset that he can't accomodate vists to come see the car. Maybe he's busy! Maybe he doesn't want people to come over. I don't know. If I made a post that I had purchased a Ferrari 360 Modena, I wouldn't want strangers to come over looking for joyrides.

I see what you are saying and it's nice to offer to help out with the car but there's no reason to get upset or defensive if he declines.

I don't understand what you are saying about the car being at a college?

Guys, rather than starting an argument here, maybe it would be best to continue the discussion over on TCCA where the main discussion is taking place. The thread has been linked in this thread.
