So.....why is it that I now have a strip of LEDs from a gen 2 third brake light...but they won't friggin light up????
I broke the strip in half cuz I plan to use it in the dead lens on the trunk lid of a gen 3...right above the back up lamp. I'm planning on turning that into a turn signal, but due to space constraints, the only bulb I can think of that'd fit would be a row of 5 LEDs from the 3rd brake light on a gen 2.
So.....as I look at the back of the LED strip, I see there's three paths, along with three connection points per LED, so I'm assuming these have to make a continuous path in order to work. And by breaking the strip in half, I've broken that path, thus not allowing the LEDs to work....
If that makes sense to anyone, am I right?
Help......please...help...
