I have a 1993 3.2 SHO. It is an automatic. I have three questions, the first is quick, the other harder.

1. What size tires came on the 93 SHO?

2. When I start my car up, the CEL is not on. When I have driven for 15 minutes, the CEL comes on. I checked for codes, it's clean (nothing). Any ideas?

3. When the car is cold, it spits and sputters. When the car warms up, it accelerates fine. Any ideas?

I would think o2 sensors, when they get warm they start working better or something, again just a guess im not really sure. When was the last time they were changed because there cheap enough and could help increase power and gas milage if yours are old.:thumb:

The O2's were changed a couple of months ago. It doesn't seem like the two problems are related. Well, I suppose they could be. One other little oddity is if I suddenly floor it, it will only go up to 3500 rpm, and won't gain any more speed until I back off of it again.

On my 93 ATX, I changed both sensors within an hour. The back isn't that bad. I was able to get it from the top.

2 ?'s 1 have you pulled codes when car is hot and CEL is on at shut off
second? i have owned other taurus's and this one thing that did it to me with the same faults you are speaking of, check your ACT and your ECT and make sure there values are correct they have a bad habit of basically resetting and make you lose your mind LOL

Yes, the engine was hot when I checked codes. What is the ACT and ECT? I'm still learning about the car.

Air Charge Temp sensor and Engine Coolant Temp sensor, what happens sometimes is one is weak or going bad and eec compensates or covers and then kicks out CEL more noticable the colder it gets
