That's the correct part. Should have the same 3bar sensor mounted on the air intake, you would be replacing the one in the middle of the intake manifold.

If this is the same part why pay $75, when you can buy the same thing for less than $60 shipped?

You need a tune to run the 3bar map sensor. Actually gives more accurate measurement than the 2bar. Livernois will adjust your tune for it, as well as the other tuners.

I believe on the original part the last letter is "A" on the 3 bar sensor it is "AB"

What the box says, and what the actual printing on the sensor says will be slightly different. Probably did not bother to update the label on the box to reflect its' contents.

Not to worry, as long as the box says CX2231.

Any benefits of the 3-bar sensor in using a lower octane tune, such as 87? For winter I run an 87 octane tune. Frankly I'm very satisfied with how the SHO performs with it.

As far as I know it doesn't really relate to Octane, the 3-bar handles, measures, and makes adjustments for boost levels over 14.5 pounds. So any tuned SHO should really get a 3-bar - even though the tunes only make 14 lbs of boost, there can be spikes, and I've heard it does make a difference.

Yes, the 3 bar MAP will benefit at any octane level. Better boost measurement and ability to measure more boost {2 bars (29.4 psi) of boost} accurately are the main reasons. I think stock boost maxes out around 10 psi, the basic tunes around 13-14, and the high-strung tunes around 18-19 (that's continuous) without overtaxing the stock turbos. You may see spikes up to 24-25, but not really usable or advisable.
