Can you leave the 3.2 engine harness and use it on the original 3.0 MTX car. It appears to be the same?

As in you used a 3.2l harness in a 3.0 based car?

The wiring is different in the 3.2 harness, You need to use both the lower and upper parts of the 3.0l harness. On a limb I might say it could be possible to use the 3.2l computer to get it to start BUT you would have massive problems dealing with the (automatic) transmission not being there.

I know this thread is old, I am about to swap a 3.2 from a 93 ATX into a 95 MTX car. What computer do I use?
Do I swap the harness from the old 3.0 and use it on the 3.2?

Yep, transfer all of the MTX stuff (harness, timing assy, etc) onto the 3.2

I've red some things in this thread that I didn't know previously, but I would love to know step by step never done a swap like this one

I assume you are swapping a 3.2 into an already MTX car?

Eacyde yes it's a 91-93 mtx with a blown and missing parts 3.0l

You are basically dressing the 3.2 to look like a 3.0. this involves a few modifications that have been addressed in the above links.

I would strongly recommend getting re-enforced motor mounts.

this is what you need to do to use 3.2 accessories on the mtx car. a way better choice imho.
