well on my way home today I did notice a coolant smell and then right as I pulled up to my house the temp. had gone above the R, so as I get out and open the hood I see steam coming from around it, and then I open the hood and notice water everywhere and a big slice in the rad hose right after the thermostat housing. So now I need a new hose....

When I replaced my radiator in august I tried getting this upper rad hose from AZ but the one they gave me didn't look anything like the one on the car so I didn't get it.

any ideas on where I can get the correct upper radiator hose for a '93 3.2?

Matt, try at a local parts warehouse; it's where all your local mechanics buy their stuff. If you can't find one, go to a local shop and ask who they buy their parts from.

for how much though?

I changed all my hoses with Motorcraft ones about 20k ago. I figured if the originals lasted so long then the Motorcraft replacements should do fine. I don't remember exactly how much I paid, maybe more, maybe FPN could get them for less then an autoparts store. But, I enjoy the piece of mind that I have a quality Ford hose and not an off the shelf blue light special.

I got one from AutoZone too, but I had to cut it to fit...it was only a tad long, but worked after the cut.

Sometimes hoses come too long. I had to cut one of my water pump hoses on my Fox bodied Mustang when I replaced them. Once again, it is better to be too long than too short. :boink:
