Haven't heard everything yet, but the team formally know as El Toro Loco now known as Starsky and Hutch took 3rd. RRRR now known as Mash lost a clutch and ended with a engine knock. Don't know where they finished.

Was this the first race on the replacement engine?
I cried a little in New Orleans when I saw one of the mash guys pouring cold water on their 300 degree engine.

Awesome! I always love to hear track stories. Funny thing is I was watching the speed channel on Friday night and they had coverage of an older Lemons race. I believe it was the one at the end of last year. I caught a glimpse or two of a SHO. RRRR took 9th. Some neon won.
Wait, were Kerby and Chris (the Oklahoma guy) on two different teams?
Wow, looked at the pics, Starsky and Hutch team has been on a diet!
The engine had seized up after about a 1/2 hour of racing with little to no water in it. We were trying to cool the engine down any way we could. Even after 1/2 an hour had passed, water was still boiling on the valve covers, so the engine must have been hotter than 300 degrees in my opinion. You should have smelled the oil, it was cooked.
That was the Chicago race at Autobahn. Great track, good race. We had a wheel bearing failure in the towards the end of saturday, so we started Sunday in 31st place and worked our way back to a 9th place finish.
There were three other SHO's at that track, one team from Oklahoma finished 8th, and there was also a SHO powered Metro.
