Hmm, thats weird, I've used all kinds of 225s on my SHOs wit no issues.

Goodyear Eagle RS-As, Toyo Eclipses, Federal Formozas, and some Dominators

so with that you can just take the pinch bolt on the knuckle and move the strut up in it alittle. if you have to move it alot you may have to grind off the alignment tab on the strut tube

edit oh damn never mind its on the side.......um ya then you will just need some spacers. thats crazy tho cuz i had them exact tires on my 93 and they fit. hmm

It's not clear where it's rubbing from the pics. The spring is nowhere near the tire, though. The spring perch is between the tire and the spring (as it should be), and cannot be rotated to gain any more clearance.

Either let the tire rub down to make its own clearance, keeping an eye out for excessive damage (it probably won't), or put a spacer in there.

If the rubbing is between the perch and the tire tread I'd just leave it and let it rub until it clears. That's certainly been done before.

i had them on my red 93 that i sold to Jeremiah and they fit no problem... i think its just the strut or something... but i dont have the money to just go put all new struts on... but would a spacer really help as the spring is somewhat resting on top of the tire... just barely...

ya if i were you i would just get one small spacer for it. i mean they have some at napa or where ever. then you would clear. its just weird that only one side is rubbing. sucks ********. i wonder if one of the lower bars is bent just slightly. i mean that it would push the bottom of the tire out so in turn push the top in? does it look like the tire is tilted more then the other side? is your wheel bearing really REALLY loose? lol idonno

if you look at the pic that shows the inside of the tire u can see the wear marks... right on the top... i am not worried too much as its not on a sidewall (massive blowout) so i will drive it to work and back tomorrow... 60 mile trip and see if it goes away or if its wearing out worse... time will tell i got an appt for new tires next week...

I am a "tire guy" and my own 93 atx SHO has 225 60 16 goodyear assurances on it that rub only when I have 4 people in the car. The tires do not appear to rub when the car is on a lift, there is probably an 1/8th inch space between the bottom of the front spring buckets and the inner shoulder of the tire, but if you get enough weight in it, it must flex enough to contact the tire. You get a hint of burning rubber, and I can see the wear mark, but if I'm in the car alone (which is 95% of the time) there is no smell. I haven't come across any good used 2156016 or 2255516(rare) or I would've already swapped them. Eventually I'll pay for some....

yeah i am in the same boat I just decided to buy 4 Fuzion ZRi's from Tire Rack so those should be here next week... Like I said before I ran em on my other 93 ATX a couple years back with no issues. And this is just the rear right the other 3 are just fine... Only thing that sucks is I have almost unlimited access to these tires so they are free... and great tires at that... goodyear sells them for 180/tire
