Hi all, I've had my 2018 SHO for a few months now, and didn't even realize it had puddle lights...Because neither work. Replaced the bulbs and still have nothing. Instrument backlight/Interior lights still work so don't think it's the fuse (also can't get my hands up in there to check). I've noticed the right one will flash for a split second before turning off, though the left is completely out. Checked the bulbs and they both work. Anyone experienced this before/have advice?

May be the connection in the mirror. Fuse 12 is the power supply. With it flashing for a moment, I don't suspect a fuse. Fuse 4 powers a Battery Saver Relay that sends a signal through the Micro controller in the BCM. Only other signals are doors. The light housing has 2 spade connectors in the mirror assembly. Personally, if you are going to dig into it, I would spend the $30 to get the Drive Bright LED replacements. Then check power and ground in the mirror assembly.

Weird information if you start researching it more, they are often listed as an Interior Courtesy Light despite clearly being an Exterior Puddle Light.

Both fuses are good. Do I have to check wiring from the fuse box all the way to the connectors in the bottom side of the mirror housing? If fixing this is looking at pulling door panels and doing rewiring I may end up having to take it to a dealer to see if they can diagnose it or just leave it be. While I'd like to have them working it's not the end of the world.

I'd start with a test light or multimeter and make sure you have power at the connectors in the mirror.

I am agreed with @Majestic. It is not usually a wiring issue unless something is changed or moved near a harness, creates a new rub point, or pinches a wire. I would start at the mirror housing. Be VERY gentle trying to get the pods out as they are kind of brittle with age. Check for power and ground. You may need the car in a dark garage or to cover the ambient light sensor. I cannot remember if they work in daylight. You will also need to open a door just before checking for power. They will timeout after a certain amount of time. If you have power and ground, that limits you to the puddle light housing. If there is no power to both of them, that takes you all the way back to the Micro Controller (most likely, extremely rare to damage wiring in 2 different looms going 2 separate directions). I would then suspect the Relay.

Had my mechanic at work check the fuses/wiring for me. He said everything was fine and they mysteriously started working as expected after replacing the 4th and 12th fuse on the inside box. Some electrical wizardry going on. Darn magic rocks. Thanks for the help y'all. I have the Drivebright LEDs coming in the mail and look forward to them.

We have had a couple of customers with a similar issue. I had them disconnect the positive and negative battery terminals to reboot the vehicle computer. This cleared out the cache that was causing the problem and their puddle light circuits began working. Silly electronic gremlins I guess. (FYI-This does not affect your memory presets)
