2015 LH Valve Cover Replacement

Hi, i'm in the process of replacing the valve cover and can't see to break it free from the engine. Any tips?

The valve cover gaskets stick like they're glued in place. With some judicious prying you may be able to get it off without breaking the cover.

thanks. i can't seem to break free the back of the cover, it's really stuck.. do I have to remove that senor sticking out of the valve cover on the left side?? wondering if that's connected below the cover somehow.

No, the valve cover slips over that and the spark plug tubes. The VVT cannot be removed without removing the valve cover first. Just make sure all the bolts are loosened.

thanks. i can't get the cover loose from the back side, seems stuck. any advice?

the cover finally broke free, the spark plug seals were fused to the tubes.. I used a little spray lubricant, let it soak in and it finally broke free.

ugh those boots are PITA. when u replace the coil packs, either replace the boots, or both, and use dielectric grease. I have found replacing or checking plugs condition, on a regular basis will stop them from cooking to the seals.

this is what it looked like after I used some spray to get those rubber pieces off.. they were a B.
