2014 SHO Subframe Removal

Hello,

I just want to verify that the subframe can be removed without removing the engine. I have the instructions from the manual but before I get down on the ground, I want to verify that the engine does not have to be supported from the top. I am going to be pulling both turbos and any tricks or tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I’ve seen videos on YouTube where the engine/transaxle unit is “unbolted” from the car along with all connections (including fr suspension) and then the car is raised on a lift leaving the engine and cradle below in one piece. The video was in the context of replacing a water pump.

I lifted it with a quick jack last weekend and it actually was a pretty simple process to get the subframe out. The engine and trans just stays in there. Frees up TONS OF ROOM to get the turbos out.
