14' SHO around 6000 miles my brakes started to make noise when I would brake. I let the noise go for around 3k so at 9000 miles I machined the rotors because I also developed a pulsation. so all 4 rotors were machined, cleaned the slides and cleaned up the rear pads because they build up dust in the center crack. fast forward 5000 miles and the rears start making noise again(70-40 not hard stops but no easy either). I love the car but hate the brakes, has anyone tried the EBC brakes package and does anyone else here get this annoying noise when braking? Heres a link to the brakes I was checking out... http://www.carid.com/2014-ford-taurus-brakes/

The noise is almost certainly because the slots cut in the pads have "caked" up again. I had this problem with my TBSS brakes and when they started to make noise I had to pull the pads and clean them up.

Good luck getting an EBC kit for '13+ SHO's. I was not able to find a single place with a complete package and some items were on backorder since EBC wasn't producing them for some reason. I just gave up on EBC's partly because of that and the prohibitive cost based on my driving style. I bought my brake kit several months ago so things might be different now.

I went with a complete power stop kit and have been very very pleased with them. The will make a little noise if you have to brake really hard (not enough for ABS to kick in though) but that's because of the slots/holes. Other than that they've been holding up very well and the braking on the car is WAY better then OE junk. And if you're going to put them on yourself make sure you've worked out in the gym before hand as the fronts are HEAVY like a 3/4 ton truck heavy. LOL!

I'd say if you're not racing your car on an autocross but just DDing it with some occasional twisty road or 1/4 mile time the power stops are plenty and more cost effective. Just my $.02.

Thanks for the info R1crusher. I looked at the powerstop brakes but didn't know how they would hold up

+2 on the brake performance endorsement. I purchased a set of slotted rotors and ceramic pad. It was a few months ago but I believe under $400 and that included the ceramic pads, rotors and hardware kit for all four corners. Made in the USA was so impressed that I ordered a set for my g/f 2011 Honda Accord.

I'm looking to purchase from Brake Performance this week but was wondering which pads to buy--the semi-metallic or the ceramic. Or should I buy the rotors and get EBC Red Stuff pads?
