2012?

New member here with a question....

The revised SHO will be available in the spring of 2012. Is there going to be a 2012 version, if even for a few months, or will the 2011s carry over until the spring and the arrival of the 2013s?

Wanting to order one, but dealer doesn't know as much as the internet board does!

I'm almost sure that if you order now, it will come as a 2012 but will be the 2011 style with a few minor changes. The big changes will be the 2013.

At the NYIAS in April, Pei-Wen said that the 2013's should start hitting showrooms in April or May of 2012.

If they follow what they did with the 2010, I would assume that they would have some kind of function involving enthusiasts ahead of that.

Job 1 for 2012s is in august. Job1 for 2013s is january 2012. Go figure!

Gave the dealer the go-ahead on Friday to place the order for a '12. He said he'll let me know when the system accepts it, and the wait will then begin.

Rec'd the call from the dealer today with the order number that's now in the bank.

IMO you should have placed a order on the 13. Seen it in person and it blows the 10,11 and whatever they have done to the 12 out of the water.But either way congrats, and lets hope they dont put you on the Showgun waiting list

looked at the design tweaks for the 13s.......not a fan of the new grille nor the wheels. but that's why we have individual tastes.

What options/features changed on the 2012? I ordered my 2011 the last possible order date (it's in and I'm picking it up next week) - and part of my decision to go ahead with the 2011 was because the dealer order sheets for the 2012 only indicated a color option difference with the 2012. I was hoping for some extra incentives for the 2011 too....

Just curious if that turned out to be reality by the time ordering for the 2012 was open.

Good to know you can have a fun drive in your Bird until the SHO arrives. The problems will occur when you have to decide between the two! At least it is for me, but it's a fun problem to have.

White platinum, with the umber seat accents.

Scrambling now to figure out where to put more concrete so I can extend the parking area and shelter. Garage building already has the '65 Mustang verty, the '56 T-Bird and the '02 Bird.......side shelter is the home of the '95 SC.

First option that I though of won't work....space is too tight to allow turns.

Oh, the problems of too many "children".
