yeah its crazy loaded it seems. of course everything wants to go all electrical gremliny on me to lol. I have the door panel off, but there isnt a wire in site by that keyless entry panel. Im pulling off trim left and right and nothing...

Debating just popping the outside keyless entry panel off and dealing with it that way. I have googled 2011 sho taurus keyless entry wiring, 2011 sho taurus wiring diagram, every variant of that search i can think of and nothing. I have found 6 page wiring diagrams... not word one about keyless entry.

There are no wires for the button. The button is part of the antenna.

The wires are seen when the door handle is removed. Don' think the door panel comes of. There is a torque bit that removes the cover for the lock cylinder. Loosen it up by removing a cover above the latch. Once this cover it removed pull out the lock cylinder. Pull the handle towed the cap and out. Conector in on the handle.

So you are saying it is connected to the outside door handle?

I got the interior door panel off this weekend and unplugged every pigtail connector I could find and nothing killed the power to it, so I fully believe it is not tied to anything on the interior wiring. I just looked at the door handle and I see zero way to access that from your description above. Am I not reading your statement correctly? I can see the Tbit when I pull the handle like I am going to open the door, but there is maybe enough room to stick a credit card down there. No way I can get a Torx socket or wrench in there.

The part is called the B-pillar moulding -outside- LH w/keypad.
I believe it is CG1Z-5420555-CA (or CB)

This pic is not for your vehicle but looks very similar: Upload 2018 1 16 2 59 51
Maybe seeing what the connector looks like would help. As far as I can tell they run around $165 and it is a "stick on" item.
It sure looks like the cable must run through the door.

If you look at the door latch from the outside above it will be a black pop in cover. Remove it. Once removed you'll see a torx screw inside that you can loosen up to remve the cover for the lock cylinder. Then you can remove the cylinder itself.

The keyless entry pad, if faulted, does not need the key to be present to lock, unlock, or open the trunk. Since his fault only occurs when the key is present, we know this pad is not faulted.

The lock/unlock buttons on the door handle do require a fob presence to lock and unlock the doors. Same thing with the trunk button under the bumper.

I see. On my 2010 if you walk up to the car with the fob and simply touch the keypad anywhere the door unlocks. I assumed that because there was physical damage on the keypad (a crack) it might have shorted the internal circuitry in such a manner that it thought it was being "touched", thus approaching it with the fob would initiate the unlock command. My 2010 doesn't have a lock/unlock button on the door handle. I guess the 2011 does? My bad.

So I learned me something. Doing some research the 2010 works different than a 13 and on. To the original poster, I'm sincerey sorry.

Shaker is correct. In the older cars the keyless entry keypad will be touched and if there is a fob present the car will unlock. It does not appar to have a feature to lock the car. The passenger side does not have this feature.

In 2013 the feature was moved to the door handle allowing lock and unlock abilities. Both door handles have this feature. (I have a 16 so going off memory of my car)

So shaker would be direct. Try disconnecting your keyless entry keypad. The downfall is if there is a short later in the circuit, disconncting the pad may not do anything.

Again to the O.P. my apologies.

Actually it does have a lock feature, IF you push an hold two buttons at the same time it WILL lock, an in fact override the feature that keeps you from locking your keys on your card, I forgot which buttons I don't use it much an the SHO is at home.

I was thinking along the line of one button lock/unlock by just one touch and not the two inputs passivly. Such as on the newer units.
