2010 vs 2011 SHO

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the forums and really appreciate all the great information that I've received here from you experts! To give a little background, I've always loved the SHO especially back in the 80's when my older brother had a black Gen 1.
I've decided to pull the trigger on a new SHO full load in black with the black interior. My dealer in town had a 2010 available to them which I did a deal on the other day sight unseen.
So I get a call today saying that they can only get me a 2011, same car but a little more expensive because the 2010 rebates don't apply. I got a better interest rate on the financing so the difference in payment isn't that much.... so I think that I may go with the 2011.

My question to everyone is are there any differences between the 2010 and 2011? I've searched these forums and haven't been able to find any information on this subject.....

Any help or info would be appreciated!

The difference is 1. Sorry, couldn't help myself. All joking aside, I don't think there are any major differences at all. At best, some minor changes in the options available. The color lineup has changed, but you've already chosen one. Congrats, you're gonna absolutely love it!

Thanks Mike, I'm pretty pumped to get this car! The only thing that I'm unsure of with this car is if its going to have the performance package or not? Something tells me that Canadian SHO's can't be ordered with this package because I have not seen or heard mention of it on the Ford Canada website or at dealerships. I'm ok with it if it doesn't have this package because I would prefer the Michelin Tires anyways. Being that I live in the Great White North the All seasons will be better. I know that the 2011 that they're bringing in for me is a full load with every option so if there is a perf pack in Canada I guess that I'm getting it. LOL
The only thing that distresses me that I've read about on these forums is that fact that we don't get the HID's due to the DRL that law forces us to have. This annoys me because my 5 series BMW has daytime running lights and HID's. Ford should know better.....
Anyways, I will post some pics when I get the car and thanks again for the help! I would love to make my Black SHO look like the member Beefcakes car. That is a GORGEOUS SHO!

Welcome to the forum! :wave:The 2011 is pretty much the same except for a few color changes, which I posted about on this thread: http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=108781&page=2.

One other thing is you can now order the performance package with the luxury package, which you couldn't on the 2010's. However, you still can't get the adaptive cruise control with the performance package.

Wow. I just realized that it's taken me 21 years to get a SHO. I can't wait to pick it up tomorrow!!! Won't be able to sleep tonight. Haha

Well, signed all the papers today on my new Tuxedo Black 2011! I have to wait till tomorrow to pick it up since the dealer is tinting the windows for me. Another day of waiting is killing me however I'll be glad to have it for the weekend!

Also, for all you Canadians out there, I guess that we don't get the option of the perf pack which was not a big deal for me

Actually it was the only Ford dealer that you missed in that list: Team Ford. I used to work for the Go Auto Group and still have a few friends at that dealership so i was able to get a great deal

I use to work for Freedom myself, I now live in Lloydminster and work for the local dealer here.
