Well, the old girl just got a toss things at her for her 200k birthday. New Coil On Plugs, new plugs, new filters on everything that they do filters for, including the transmission, along with a trans fluid flush, MAF sensor cleaned, idle adjusted, coolant flushed, etc. If anyone can think of obvious stuff I have missed, let me know.

Meantime, she is running like a top. Warmed her up and went too fast out on the highway, enjoying it completely. :)

nice glad to hear another v8sho made it to the 200k mark. my wife and I's 96 has about 197k on it the only thing it needs is new coils and plugs and to have the cams welded if they arnt already. my wife bought it at 80k years ago its been babied its whole life never been past half throttle and regularly kept under3krpm and never seen above 5krpms (all because we arnt sure if its welded but i suspect it could be pinned or welded just cause its gotten this far). although we dont drive it much anymore cause it needs restored and cause were not sure on the cams status. (ive been a bit busy and lazy to check).

You should check out the cams very soon. If yours is over 200k, it probably was welded, but maybe not, and at this point it would then be a very short wick time bomb, regardless of the throttle use.

Mine has certainly never been babied. Though I drive it very sedately in town, we live rural and out on the back roads it gets frequent wide open throttle use and gets tossed very hard into the curves most all the time. I do not use it much in the winter any more, though, and in fact do not even own snow tires for it any more. Its become an above freezing and not raining hard driver, working its way to a nice Sundays level over the next few yeas, I think. :)
