I have a 2010 and noticed clear coat peeling off all four wheels. The clear coat is so brittle you can scrape it off with a fingernail!!. I wash the car by hand myself with soap only. Is anyone else having this problem? Would it be a warranty issue. Thanks for your help.

Same issues with my 2010 MKS 20's. Which is why I am picking up some Permachromes today. Easier to do that than fight with Ford, just to have the same issue in 2 years. All four have this issue around the center cap.

It's pretty easy to diagnose the problem.... It's a Lincoln!

As my Father-in-Law said, and he was a Ford-Lincoln-Mercury salesman for 40 years. Linncolns are for people whose heads are too big to fit in a Ford! LOL Just kidding of course as I have had Lincolns also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think you are doing the correct thing getting PermaChrome or getting aftermarket wheels.

I picked up (and had installed) the permachromes yesterday from Detroit. They look great. I will post a pic once the car gets cleaned up - all dirty and full of bug spatterings right now from the trip there and back.

If my car was black, or white, or maybe even silver I would get the black chrome for sure. I just did not think they would look right with my Steel Blue.

And LOL, I refer to my MKS "an SHO with lipstick on"!

Personally, I like the look of the MKS better than the 2010-2012 SHOs. Would have been nice if they had a PP, but real world performance isn't much different, and mileage is likely better. Love the big roof!... Sorta like the one in my FLex.

Know it will look great with the PermaChromes!

I much prefer the aggressive stance of the SHO, but prefer the dual sunroof, adaptive HIDs, rear LEDs, real wood, additional leather, etc on the MKS. Again, an SHO with lipstick on. Then again, I am getting old... LOL 43.......

The answer is yes, they will be covered under bumper to bumper warranty.
