I know that this is not the right place on SHOForum to sell a car but I need help. I have been trying to make a donation to get my SHO on the Trader section but nothing I do helps. I imagine the problem is that I do NOT have PayPal nor do I ever want to get it! I am 61 and have no urge to do that. I have e-mailed the admin, posted a message on "contact us" AND have sent a PM all with no avail. I am trying to send a donation but can't! that being the case, here goes.....

We have a 1999 SHO with 82,000 miles - original owners (we are in our 60's so it has been driven carefully) - always garaged. In fact, my husband rarely will take it out in the winter! It has never been in an accident. The reason that we are selling it is because we bought a NEW 2011 SHO (Heaven!). the 2011 is the third SHO that we have owned.

We are asking $5,995 Or Best Offer. I have posted the ad on Craig's List under Green Bay so you can see pictures there. Our phone # is 920-897-4444. We live in Coleman, WI. Maybe you can pass the word in case someone out there wants a good SHO!

Susan,

Have you sent a message to Offroadsho? Find his profile in the members section or you can access it if you find one of his posts and click on his user name. Send him a private message and he should be able to help you.

Thank You. I clicked on his name (he was listed as a Moderator) and it directed me to a place where I could send a message. I did so. I hope that will solve my problem. Thanks!

Susan,

Do you know anybody that does EBay? They usually have a PayPal account and they could take your cash and paypal me at [email protected]. Really would be faster than snail mail.

Tom,
I live in a rural community (pop. 800) and I do not have any close friends that have or use PayPal. Can't I do a credit card? In the directions, it states that you accept credit cards. Isn't this an option?

If you create a Paypal account (takes a couple minutes) with your credit card , you will be able to transfer money in seconds. Its safe.

In order to process only a credit card number , you gotta have a machine like they have in the stores , I dont think there is alot of people that have that kind of machine over here.

Susan,

I'm sure Bizzy can do the credit card but due to her health problems, she has not been able to access a computer very much lately. A couple of us old farts have been helping her out by getting copies of PayPal receipts sent to us by the sellers so that we can then approve the ads.

Like I said in the PM to you. Send me a check by snail mail and I will approve and move your ad. It'll just take longer that way.

Thank you Phoenix and Tom. I have taken the plunge and have entered the world of PayPal. It will take several days for them to test my account - I used an old smaller checking account thus limiting my exposure to risk. If I buy something really BIG, I can always use a credit card through them.

I put the ad on another site and have received MANY scams so that is why I am hesitant.
thanks for your help.

I never had the guts to link my paypal to any of my bank accounts. I just opened a paypal specific credit card with a low spending limit. You don't really have to link a bank account to use PP. Good luck with the sale and post pictures.

I would never link the PayPal to my checking account that I use every day. I used an account that I haven't used in 6 years other than to make a yearly deposit/withdrawal - enough so it doesn't go dormant. I don't have a low limit credit card so I was hesitant to go that route in a hurry to get this donation in. If I find that I use PayPal often (more than this once), then I might do as you did. That is a good idea. Thanks.

Susan,

It's been posted for while now, in fact it's had 32 views, just no comments. I'll go and post a reply on it to bring it to the top.

Thanks, Tom. That's very nice of you. I think that the price is more what it should be. It is equal to the Kelly blue Book and about $200 more than NADA blue book. It is a great car in great shape so I think that it is worth that. Maybe someone will fall in love with it like we did!

We sold our '99 SHO today. What actually sold it was a sign in the window of the car! Someone in our small town of 800+ knew my husband and knew how meticulous he was with it and bought it. We are happy that it went to a good home.
