1998 GEN III with mods for parts or for a body guy.

I have a 1998 Sho with 159k on the body. Body has no rust, a school bus rear ended me and crunched the trunk in.( see pictures, he missed the bumper). The car still runs and drives perfect.
I have done plenty of maintenance and a good deal of mods to it since I have owned it:
Upgrades.
Jet Performance chip(Last 5 k)
K&N filter(Last 10k)
Rebuilt Transmission/New TQ Converter with Trans go shift kit (last 5k)
Silicone Vacuum Hose and Wire Loom(Last 5k)
13'' Front Brakes/ PBR Calipers(Last 5k)
91' Rear Brakes/ Uses 96+ front Rotors(Last 5k)
Stainless Steel Brake Hoses(Last 5k)
5- 17'' Elbrus rims/ with Sumitomo Tires (Last 5k, and yes that is 5, full size matching spare just in case to clear the 13'' brakes)
3rd Cat deleted(last 10k)
Accelerator Mufflers with stainless tips(Last 5k)
Klipsch Front speakers (old ones started crackling)
Yamaha Badges(Front and rear)
V8 HIGH Out put Fender Badges(Replaces normal V8 Badges)

Maintenance

New Alternator
Belt
Starter
Battery
All 8 Coils and Plugs
Re Wrapped rear wiring harness iwith heat shield
All fluids changed
Motor vac (De-carbonized)
LF Axle
Rear Struts, Springs, Mounts, End links (Non Sarc Per info on this site)
Crank Sensor

Last 10-14k

Ball joints, Tie Rods, Front links, And front Sarc struts
AC serviced

The Previous owner had the cams welded and all O2/AF sensors replaced

I loved my SHO, but with the high mileage on the odometer the insurance
company only gave me $3800.
I do not feel like trying to find another rust free SHO and taking the extensive time to transfer everything out of this car into the new one.

The Car is a daily driver and shows typical bolster wear on the front seat
The dash Started to separate at one time and was repaired.
The oil cooler is starting to leak from the gaskets( was going to fix before I got rear ended)
And the front Valve Cover gasket is seeping ( was going to fix before I got rear ended)

All power options work perfect, windows, moonroof, CD, AC etc.
No CEL, GEM lights etc.

I will be posting some more pictures of the undercarriage tomorrow and some close up of anything visible on the upgrades.

I am looking for $1500 or B/O

Please do not ask for parts, I am broken hearted over what happened to my SHO after all this work that was done to it. If I had the Heart to dismantle her I would find another SHO to swap all this stuff into myself.

This would be a perfect car for some one who is looking for a lot of good parts cheap to transplant into their own SHO, or a good body guy.

I work from 7am to 7pm MON-SAT and I will respond to all questions when I get home from work. The car is located @ my work in the Pittsfield , MA area.
The car still runs and drives great but will need to be towed because of the damage in the rear destroying the lights. I will post a video of the car starting and running with an exhaust clip to hear the mufflers etc tomorrow night.

Hopefully my loss will be some one else's gain.

His ad on ebay says they are welded. I don't think he is far from me if anyone wants me to check out the car I don't mind doing it.

The cams were welded by previous owner. He had the cams, AF and O2 sensors replaced, as well as rotating the front coil packs to the rear, at around 95k. I bought the car at 147k 2 1/2 years ago and did everything else listed in this classified ad.

You are more then welcome to check out the car anytime you want.

If I do not get rid of it in the next couple of weeks, I am going to remove all my upgrades, the tranny, the motor and keep them for when I do find a new SHO to swap them into.

I unfortunately bought a GTP on ebay with the insurance money (cause it was modded and cheap) and I am already missing my SHO.

Thanks for the interest, the only way I am selling the wheels is with the rest of the car.

I am going to let the ad run for 2 weeks since I already went through the trouble of listing it on Ebay and here, and if no one buys it, I will strip it and keep all the parts. I am sure in the next six months I will get the SHO itch again. :angelnot:

Some one will have a SHO with a bad motor or tranny they will be selling cheap, and I will have all the parts to fix it.

A good SHO motor, the Big brake upgrades, stainless lines, Rims and tires, Tranny, Suspension, and exhaust (never mind all the small new stuff in this car) would cost some one 3-4x what I am asking for the whole car.

I am working on building a SHO teleporter, but I can not seem to find Scotty, or Captain Kirk to make it work.

The same shipping company I am using to have my GTP shipped( not my SHO) would ship it for around $300.

Otherwise you could drive it there no problem, but with no rear lights the fuzz would be chasing ya.

will ship it from here to there for $650. That's pretty cheap for a 1379 mile trip.
I did not realize you were so far away.

If you seriously want the car I would work with you, thats why I have it listed for
1500 B/O.

I knew from experience on this forum that unless you part a car out and ship the parts,
it would be hard to sell a whole parts car.

honestly the car is awesome and i would love to have it, but to have over 2 thousand into still needing over a thousand in body work... i cant do that. your price is totally resonable ..... for someone who isnt over 1000 miles away

I am not looking forward to dismantling her as I work 60 + hours a week on cars already. My boss wants her off the property now that there are no plates on her.
