I've owned this '97 Toreador Red SHO for about 4 years after purchasing it from another SHO enthusiast. It was well cared for and has been very reliable. A bit lower mileage on the clock considering its age, at right around 134k. It is still being driven regularly without incident.

Before I go any further, YES, the cams are welded. This was done by Eric Lehmann. I've got the pictures given to the previous owner when this was performed. I also have prior service records on the car.

As with all SHOs, aside the Gen IVs, they are old and have their pros and cons. I've done a number of repairs and upgrades over time, so there are quite a few newer parts.

The good:
- Custom HID bi-Xenon headlights with projectors (This was a totally custom job, the housings were painted, projectors installed. See pictures for more details. These are a massive improvement over stock at night, especially out in the country where there isn't much ambient light.)
- Air Conditioning was recently rebuilt this past summer, with a leak test, new condenser, new accumulator, all custom rebuilt hoses, new o-rings, and full recharge of R-134a. It works great and should continue to for a long time!
- Engine runs great, uses little oil between changes
- Routine services always performed on time, with reliable parts and quality fluids
- Recent coolant flush when the overflow tank cracked and was replaced with a brand new one.
- Newer brakes, still with a bit of life (AutoZone C-Max Ceramic Pads, no dusting)
- Front to rear brake hard lines are almost new, were replaced with Ford OEM assembly ($$$)
- Majority of body is in good shape for its age
- All speakers were replaced with an Infinity Reference set, sounds good as (or better than) new!
- Yokohama S.drive Z-rated summer tires on '99 SHO aluminum rims
- Running synthetic oil, AMSOIL ATF as steering fluid

The bad:
- P0411 SAI pump code pops up - this only affects the smog pump on startup, and doesn't harm the engine. It was looked into, but there are others on the forums with this same problem, which is hard to eradicate. Has no effect on driving, performance, engine health. Will reset with a code reader until it resurfaces again. Sometimes a few drives, sometimes a few months.
- A few spots are starting to show rust behind the doors, but overall the body is clean
- Driver seat has a few flaws, but overall not bad
- Steering wheel has some wear on the leather
- Mufflers aren't in good shape anymore, should be replaced - though the car does sound good as-is.

Of note:
- The car is coming due for a ATX flush / fluid replacement and filter change
- The valve cover gaskets do appear to be leaking somewhat.

I also have a bunch of documentation, advertising, and more (including the original window sticker) that I got from the previous owner.

KBB good price is about $3400. Asking $3100 OBO.
The HID headlights and recent AC work alone cost a pretty penny. Ready to drive home today.

Extras:
- Set of front OEM Ford springs
- Yokohama W.drive winter tires on silver slicers
- 10 qt. Mobil 1, 2 Mobil 1 filters, 4 other filters (3 NAPA Gold, 1 Ford), 2 Air Filters

Will consider all offers - make me a deal I can't refuse if you want all the extras. I am available to show the car, so just ask! Would love to see another SHO enthusiast pick up this car and give it the care it deserves.

Thanks for looking!

1st time seeing a Gen III with slicers. Ya, those would have to go. Just my 2 cents from the Fox Valley :munch:

Yeah, the slicers are just winter wheels - I've got the '99 style spoke wheels with the summer tires on them, which are going on soon once I have some time. Haven't been driving the car too much and it has still been cold when I have.

Once I get them on I'll snap some pictures.

Okay, bumping the post and adding a few pics with the '99 wheels. Summer tires are on the car.

Just took it for a drive and it runs great - would make an awesome, reliable daily driver.

Apologies for the somewhat cropped pics - I had a prime lens on my camera that is more suitable for smaller items

Beautiful V8 man!

Wish I could get my hands on it. Good luck with the sale, it deserves to find a good home :)
