1997 SHO trans

I have a 97 SHO ATX. Question? Is there any way to stop that annoying hunting of the trans in and out of converte lock up? As I travel down the free way any movement in the gas pedal results in the trans coming out of lock up. Even more depression of the pedal results in a downshift. Trans shifts fin veh has 76K.

I think the only way to solve this would be to get a tune! And this is in the wrong section also! and welcome to the forum!
