Hi, I am looking for help in wiring the temp controll system. I got this car second hand and it had an aftermarket stereo/temp controll system put in it. Originally it had an all digital radio/temp controll system. The radio works fine but when I pulled the radio/temp controll face, it had no temp controll switches what so ever. So I bought a second aftermarket kit that had the switches for the temp controll ( three switches & knobs ). The previous owner cut all the wiring harness connectors, on the car side. Which is STUPID at best. Just trying to figure out how to wire up the temp controlls. When I got the car, it constantlly blew high heat on defrost, which sucks, had to pull the blower motor fuse to stop this. Just trying to fix someone elses mess. Any help would be GREATLLY appreciated, (love the V8's).
Thanks,
Troy

Your best bet would be to post in the "Wanted to Buy" section asking for someone to ship you all the connectors from the car and the original football that you are missing. I would even go back to the original radio.
You have a fighting chance if you go back to the original, and trouble-shoot that system.

Hey Troy :salute:,
Welcome aboard. You don't by chance have pics of this radio unit do ya?? No one, to my knowledge, ever made an SHO aftermarket radio/temp control unit. A couple folks have hand made ones but no company sold a plug-n-play kit, only for the manual turn knobs controls for the regular Taurus. I'm afraid to see what it looks like and what may lurk behind it, but I think it'll give us a better idea and what direction to go to help ya.

If it's the temp control unit with knobs then there were some made.

If a dash kit was made for auto climate, I WANT ONE!

OT: Pics would definitely help us help you.

There wasn't one but I think I remember seeing some TCCA people might have converted to manual climate control???
