Hey guys,

I don't have a SHO, but I have a 1995 Taurus SE (Hey, at least its got SHO seats and a SHO spoiler!)

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you knew if 1995 Thunderbird SC wheels (16x7, 39mm offset) would fit on my car with 225/55/16's?

I know the bolt pattern is the same, and the offset if really close. I'm more concerned about the tire rubbing with my new Eibach springs. Should I consider 225/50/16's instead? This car is a daily driver, by the way.

Thanks!

ps, I know there is a BBS for the non-sho tauri, but very few of them have made suspention modifications. I used to have a 1991 SHO plus that I wrecked, hence this is where the Eibach springs and Tokiko's came from.

Yep, they fit.

I actually have a set that I ran on my SHO. A SHO is a Taurus, so they will fit okay. No rubbing.

If you're looking for a set, let me know. I'm selling mine with Potenza SO-3s on them. 225/55/16.

Cool, I was checking out the pics. Looks good. I already have a set of wheels from my supercoupe since I put the Cobra R's on it. Nice thing about the 93-95 SC wheels that I have are that they are directional (have a left and a right set). Kinda hate to put Tbird centercaps on a Taurus tho..

Here's a pic of the wheels I'm putting on: They currently have bald-azz 245/50-16's which would NOT fit on the Taurus. They rub on the strut.

Anyone have pics of their SHO with these style wheels?

Dude that's a NICE bird. I've been really liking them lately for some reason, especially since there's a real nice red 5-speed one in my apartment complex. It seems like the 5-speed SCs are pretty tough to come by, though.

Yea, my SC is a 5 speed. Its fun, but the 5 speed trannys they use in them are pretty knotchy. I have an upgraded 11.5" clutch, all new hydrulics (slave and master), and a 15lb custom aluminum flywheel, and it shifts pretty good now.

I was actually amazed at how far my $$ went as far as performance in the supercoupe. I used to have a 1991 SHO with a few things from SHO shop (80mm maf, LPM, sho shop cold air snorkle, off road y-pipe, and dynomax exhaust). That was a lot of $$ spent for seemingly little hp. On the SC, I spent $60 on an overdrive pully and got just as much from all the SHO mods.

I got about $10 grand invested in power stuff on the SC (fully ported 5 angle heads, ported intake, custom cam, rebuilt/strengthened bottom end, exhaust, etc.. plus a bunch of other stuff I can't think of right now.) Oh yea, and its making that much power on the stock supercharger. I can gain another 80hp from swapping in a ported supercharger, and probably another 20 on top of that by going to headers (I'm using ported stock manifolds right now).

Here's a pic of the engine bay. And no, its not a brochure picture (I can prove it, look st the orange rtv that I still need to clean off the upper intercooler tube)

Its a nice car, I'd like another v6 SHO someday too! That Yamaha engine is one smooth powerplant, worlds smoother than the old pushrod v6 in my supercoupe, but then again they are two different breeds of cars.
