Hey guys,
I am new to this and I want to buy a 1994 SHO white with grey leather with 130,000 miles asking 3,495.00 this car is in very good condition. I will try to get a better price.
I would like to know if i am looking at any problems to come. I know we dont know what could happen, but I have heard form some friends not to buy the SHO. Any input would help. Ilive in boynton beach and the car is in miami at little dealership can anyone help me look over the car.

Thanks

is it an ATX or MTX? @ a 130K it just may be still all original wear parts & just babied so that would be too much $$! If every thing has been replaced at least once that would be a fair price if in great shape.

People seem to think these cars are worth gold now that the new model came out. I agree with K-Dawg, $1500 max in good condition.

If this is the same white ATX at Karconnection, I was going to buy this car FEBRUARY 2009! He will not negotiate and also told me it had 71,000 miles. I offered the guy $2,000 and he wouldn't even bother to call me back. I made him the same offer last week and he is still firm on the price.

This is why that ****** still has that car for sale; just like the ****** I argued with on that 94 MB ATX. I would have bought it for a reasonable price, but he seemed to act like he knew more than I did. I tried to "politely" explain to him that I'd owned 2 SHOs, have been an enthusiast for 16 years, am on the SHOforum DAILY, and plan to attend the NATIONAL convention for the enthusiasts....and the general consensus on the forum was that the car was worth absolutely no more than $3500 with the exception of 1 or 2 crazy folks that always think a nice SHO is worth $10k. Ok ******, WE enthusiasts set our prices, WE are the market--all couple thousand of us in the nation or so.

He says he always buys these and gets high $ for them. I didn't bother to let him know that for many years I lived right down the road from his little corner lot and drove past it daily going to work.....and that was the 1st SHO I'd seen there.

The guy at KarKonnection is a *****. The more I'm observing these auctions and these type of dealers that attend them. They're out to pick up a car for a grand and sell it for 6---a quick, cheap buck at the customer's expense. They tend to be greedy, shady, and nonchalant.

This guy has had that car for sale for at least 4 months. If he had any brains, he'd let it go at a $500 profit and move on. No dealer wants more than a 90 inventory turn. That lot looks ghetto as **** anyway. Reminds me of the one I went to a couple of weeks ago that had a Contour SVT. He wanted 3800 and it was a POS...he said $1800 down to finance. I said well since you have $1800 in it, I'll give you $2k...you make a quick $200 for doing nothing. The car needed alot of work. He was a foreigner and tried to argue--told him my uncle had a BHPH lot and I know how it works; I'm not an avg Joe. He kept arguing and I said, look I don't want the car anyway--needs too much work; then left. I drive by the other day and there are about 4 cars there--looks like the guy is about to go under.

Another thing about that 94. The cash price is $3495 and the finance price was $5495! Half down up front and 23% interest! I'm in car sales, and 2 different prices isn't even legal. Maybe in 3 more years he may be more realistic.

Well duh, isn't that what Car Salesman do?! Greedy, shady and nonchalant are most of their best qualities.

That is the typical sterotype. I have been selling cars for several years, and I can say I have never taken advantage of a customer on a car deal because I like to sleep at night. I have seen people make a killing on a car deal at the customers expense and then never have repeat customers. My customers know they have received a great deal, I make a living, and then alot of them ususally come back to me for their next vehicles or bring their friends. I don't believe in stuffing a person in a car so bad they can't even trade the thing until its damn near paid off. That happened to me on my first car and I refuse to do it to someone else. Just defending the good ones here and the bad ones will get what comes to them.

Yeah there are a few good ones out there, like the gentlemen that sold me my truck. Now that was a good salesman, he was a decent guy who had manners and understood what I could afford and spent the time needed to get me a fair price. Even to this day the guy still calls and just checks up with me to see how the truck is and If I still enjoy it and that is one reason I would buy another vehicle from him.

He'll never sell that car for the money. I havent wasted my time inquiring about the car at all, because I just had a feeling he thinks he's sitting on gold. imo, if it was an MT it would be worth roughly 3k, being AT cuts that in 1/2.
