It's the CPS? Is there a way to test it? I thought my tach would stay at 0rpms when i cranked it if my CPS was out

ok cps... cam possitioning sensor or crank possitioning sensor... I have this issue, and was told it was the cam sensor... I replaced it, but have lost my keys... the cam sensor isnt easy to get to but its to the left and down of the left cam, i JUST changed mine out 2 days ago... tiny little 7/32 or 5.5 socket and several uncomfortable minutes and its out. i bought my cam sensor for 37 bucks at autozone... easy find at a parts store, PLEASE let me know if this fixes the issue.

Is it the camshaft position sensor or is it the crankshaft position sensor. I read on the forum that the camshaft position sensors rarely die and when they do dont cuase a no start condition. So I need to replace the crankshaft position sensor?

yes
CPS=Crank position sensor

If you crank and there are ANY RPMs it's not the cam sensor.

I just changed my fuel filter. I heard that if your cats are clogged that if you pull your o2 sensors than your car will start. Well it didn't start.

But when I removed the sensor for my IAC my car would turn on after cranking then die instantly or as soon as I pressed on the gas. Im about to my IAC after I get back from camping on sunday.

I thought it wouldn't be my crankshaft sensor if my car has spark. And it wont be my camshaft sensor if it is showing RPMS on tach.

So after I clean my IAC it might start and if it isnt could it be the DIS?

I can smell fuel and it turns on for a second but I havent tested my fuel pressure yet. Do you need one of thoe 30 dollar FI fuel pressure tester kits?

I really need my SHO to Daily Drive becuase my Rx7 wont pass smog and gas makes me sad.

If you have a set of security torx bits, you can pull off the MAF sensor and shoot the elements clean with CRC brand MAF cleaner. I bet it runs better after that.

I bought the 40 dollar fuel pressure guage tester from AutoZone and when I attatched it to the schrader valve and turned the key to the on position nothing happened, the same as when I tried to start it.

All I need to do to test my fuel pressure is to screw the gauge into the valve correct? If thats so then It looks like I need a fuel pump

I put a flat head screwdriver into the wire plug and put it close to metal on the frame of my car and had my friend try to start it. I didn't see any spark. I tried it on 2 of the 3 plug wires on the front

Check for spark again. If you don't have spark, you probably have a bad crank position sensor. Very rare for the DIS to fail. So you'll have to pull of the front of the engine and might as well replace the water pump, timing belt, etc. Your problem is not fuel.

These cars can be expensive and unreliable if you don't read up on them. Check out shophoenixproject.com, it walks you through most of the major procedures on these cars.

OK, so maybe you do have a fuel problem. Fuel should squirt out of the schrader valve when you depress it with a screwdriver. Check the inertia switch and all the power back to the fuel pump.

I got a fuel pump from Kragen today. It looks exactly the same except the metal terminal for the black wire is bigger than on the pump that is on the now.

Is this the right pump? Should I go get a prong that is that size and use it instead of whats on it now

So Kragen gave me the wrong fuel pump. After I went back and got the correct one I installed it in my car via the Access Panel. I originally wanted to drop the gas tank. It was too rusted and when I tried to unscrew my tank strap bolt it just snapped.

Well everything is working and it's fast!!:3gears:
