my 1994 ford taurus sho check engine light comes on it seems the car loses power and it idles at 500 rpms and when i go to accelerate it will not go past 4000 rpms with out sounding like its over reving but after a couple of min the ligh turns off and goes back to normal some time its last a long time and sometimes its only a couple of min what kind of scanner can i use or did anyone have the same problem?
