What kind of pressure is there in the tranny lines at the fittings going into the radiator. I'm Replaceing a radiator in a 93, there are two threaded fittings(union) in the radiator which the lines go to and mate with. When I removed the two fitings on the radiator and they were in there tight from the old radiator it looked like they may have been thread sealant on them. Do you seal the threads on these guys, I have yet to use any sealant tape or compound and I have not had a problem yet. Am I playing with fire? done quite a few.

I'm not sure the specific psi, however if you unhook it - the pressure will shoot it out a couple feet. I have done a couple and have not needed to use thread sealer, or tape. Just put them in nice and tight into the radiator....don't crank on them too hard though, as not to damage the radiator.

I've forgot to tighten the hose clamps before and the pressure wasn't enough to blow off the line.
