1993 ATX Recall

I was talking to my local Ford dealer about recalls on the 1993 ATX SHOs. He said that Ford issued a recall in January 1993 for the ATX trans under recall number 92B14. I checked my car and it does have a Ford re-manufactured trans in it. My question is, has anyone else had their trans replaced under this recall and what mods did Ford make to the replacement transmissions.

When my SHO's tranny was replaced recently they told me of the reman notice from Ford on my pan also! I have no idea what it's all about but would love to know.

My trans has a sticker stating "re-manufactured by Ford" on the converter housing. As to what mods were done, I don't know. Maybe one of the forum members knows.

YIKES!! HIGHWAY ROBBERY!! I just got all my work done on a new tranny w/ trans-go kit, new front motor mount and rear seal for just a nod over $1700!!!
