1992 Taurus SHO for sale. Background on my car:

1. Single owner car purchased new in Nov 1991, Rapid City, SD from the Ford dealership using the returning Desert Storm veteran’s discount program offered by Ford.
2. Mileage is approximately 123,000, an average of less than 6000 a year over its 22 year life.
3. All service records are provided. The car has been service exclusively by the lead technician at Atchley Ford in Omaha, NE since 2000.
a. Original owner’s manual with all documentation
b. Original window sticker
c. Original sales brochures
d. SHO owners service manual
e. SHO Shop maintenance guide
f. OEM fog lights included
g. OEM air box included
h. Custom fit front windshield sunscreen
i. Rear window shade screen
j. Never-used SHO owners emergency roadside kit
k. Emergency spare tire never used
l. OEM Wheel lock key included
4. Car condition is excellent and always garaged.
a. New brake rotors and pads on all 4 wheels
b. Replaced timing belt prior to all mileage requirements
c. Coolant system recently flushed, replaced anti-freeze, replaced thermostat
d. Replaced water pump each time timing belt is changed (not needed, but makes sense when the timing belt work opens up that area of the engine).
e. Replaced A/C compressor – Blows cold air.
f. Replaced all four wheels’ shocks/struts AND springs with Monroe integrated shock/strut/spring parts
g. New hood gas struts
h. Replaced recalled subframe bushings with solid aluminum bushings to improve steering and handling response.
i. Upgraded 10” OEM front disks to 12” disks and spindles from 1995-96 SHO models – stopping power and distance is startlingly improved!
j. Added subframe connectors between rear and front body sections to improve steering and handling response.
k. Replaced stock air filter with K&N re-usable filter
l. Newly recovered front seats with matching Opal Gray material (visible in the photos attached) – electric lumbar and adjustable bolsters fully operational
m. Newly refurbished steering wheel (visible in the photos attached)
n. Replaced headliner
o. Replaced rear window with operating defroster grid
p. Replaced stock fog lights with driving lights for country roads in Nebraska (we don’t get much fog here).

5. Attached photos show spares parts included with the car
a. 6 oil filters with oil filter socket
b. Complete set of new Motor Craft Platinum spark plugs
c. 2 gallons of anti-freeze
d. Set of replacement windshield wipers
e. Spare tire - Goodyear V-rated - only 10,000 miles on the tire
f. OEM catalytic converters with downpipe segment - replaced with current stainless steel converters with mandrel bent downpipe
6. Everything works except:

a. Dashboard clock light bulb – clock works fine
b. Radio – all other JBL audio system components all work – dielectric has leaked out of the capacitors in the radio. It can be re-built to keep the OEM status or replaced with a modern receiver
c. Rear window switches on driver’s control panel lower the windows, but not raise the windows. Read window motors and rear seat switches work fine.
7. Paint is orignal with recent polish and wax applied. Car is always garaged.

I am asking $4500 cash or best offer.

Car is available for showing in Papillion, NE.

92 SHO options

No moonroof. Options are leather interior, driver's side airbag, JBL audio (though the radio no longer works). I did specify manual AC, eliminates broken buttons on automatic climate control pannel. Likely one of the few SHOs with manual A/C. Works well, blows cold air, new A/C compressor install 2 years ago.

Beautiful car. Was it driven in winter? Any pictures of the underside?

Car was driven in winter. Sorry, no underside photos. There is only superficial or surface rust on the chassis, no body rust. Always washed and garaged during winters.

One of 11 white 92s with manual HVAC controls, for anyone interested.

That is a very nice looking car.
