I've been wanting to find one of these babies for a few years now and think I might have. The one I'm looking at is a 1990 and will be cheaper than $2000. Guy says it has a bad crank sensor and causes the RPMs to jump around sometimes. Something about the crank shaft seal leaking on the sensor. Also a right axle seal leak. Just wanted to see what others thought of this. Is less than $2000 too cheap?

I have never seen the rpms jump around due to a bad crank sensor. I would pull the plug on the cam sensor and see if it runs okay then (it may take several tries to get it started without the cam sensor as the pcm has to guess which cylinder is #1), as the erratic rpms are more likely due to a sick cam sensor or a sticky idle air control (iac) valve.

$2000 may be okay, but sounds a little high given it doesn't run right, depending on what other issues it has and the body and interior condition.

Here's a few pics he sent me. The inside looks mint but those wheels are throwing me off

Interior definitely looks good. If the body is rust free and you are confident you can resolve the issues with it then I'd grab it. The front wheels on the car are the original wheels. The ones on the rear are from a 2000s Taurus.

Looks like sagging springs in the back as well. Looks like you'll need to put some money into it right off the bat, I think I would talk them down a bit.
