Hello from Wisconsin!

I recently bought myself a 1989 Taurus SHO in Silver for $1700. The clutch was burnt out and the gears needed to be tweaked but $1500 later I have myself a well running Taurus SHO! It only has a little rust and 144k miles with almost stock everything! I joined this forum to get tips on how to repair and restore my Taurus, because I’m going to need a lot of help. I love these cars and I’m very excited to own one even though it’s definitely a fixer upper.

89s are the BEST. working stock radio? I have seven 89 radios and
NONE of them work!
You're a lucky guy to have found a nice 89...welcome in. I have a lot of 89-95 parts if you ever are in need .

There are shops that repair the stock headunits. Southern Radio (who I believed altered their name recently) is one, and I have another shop in a link somewhere. They are definitely repairable, if you wish to remain stock and/or aren't into car audio (like me!).
