I think I will be parting out my '91+ starting tomorrow, so maybe I will swap the rear knuckles to the '89, after some preliminary measuring and '91 dust cap removal. If that fails as well, I might be able to have a wheel shop (not just machine shop) modify them for me. It's at least worth asking a shop if they can do it.
Man, I really want these wheels.

A spacer would just jam the rear wheels into the fender lips. I'm not even positive these wheels will clear the fender lips if they were to seat properly.

The 91+ is white. I also have a spare mocha plus hood, and technically a black one too, but I kind of want to keep that for my 89 when it doesn't have a blower coming out the stock hood.

baySHO_510, I hope with a name like that you are a member of the BaySHO mailing list. If so, I've probably met you in person.

I was gonna get rims like that. I had my eye on the ASA JH8's which are very similar. And if I'm not mistaken, ASA and Kazera are in the same family. They are somehow related I'm pretty sure.

I just test fit one of the KZ-As onto the rear of the '91+ today. With a little coaxing, the dust cap came off, and allowed for clearance. I was so excited to see it fitting so neatly. The rear fenders will have to be trimmed in order for the suspension to travel, but there will be enough room after that. I'll just have to swap knuckles before I can get rid of the white plus.

I appreciate the tips.

kzoosho, I hope you mean you want to buy one of my hoods, because the rims are not for sale. Or I could sell some slicers. I have lots of those. ;)

i've never heard of a reputable machine shop messing up a set of rims, esp something as easy as machining what looks like a mm or two from the hub area...like i said its pretty common to do in the probe/mx6 community..i also mentioned the member we have on here who has pgt rims on sho....btw,sent you a pm on a hood

Well, I just finished swapping the knuckles from the '91+ (which is now at the junkyard) onto the Geek SHO, and putting my sweet new rims on. It was a lot of work for just rims, but it was worth it considering they were $300 for the set. I took some pictures, but everything is filthy:

RimsCU
RimsForeshorten
RimsFrontQuarter
RimsRearQuarter

Now that the white car is gone, I can actually spend time getting the black one RUNNING.

Those look great. Makes me want to buy the cousins to those kazeras, the asa's that tire rack has. What size tire are you running there? Any clearance issues?
